Everly's Verse of Worship
Written for a friend, Carol Miles, because she is emotional and cries easily.
Angels Are Crying
The angels in heaven are crying today
‘Cause you didn’t take time out to pray.
You went on your way, with no thought of the Lord
And the angels began crying with one accord.
The angels in heaven are crying today;
You forgot about God as you went on your way.
You didn’t take time the Bible, to read
And you didn’t tell Jesus about your great need
Or thank Him for the blessings you daily receive.

Leaving the Mountain (Deuteronomy 1:6, 1 Kings 17:1-9, Mark 9:2-8, Psalm 133:1, Acts 1:8-11, Mark 16:15, Matthew 17:20)Pastor Mike Dissmore, June 26, 2016
Part of the Geography Lessons series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
Sermon was about leaving the past to get to the promised land. If we get too comfortable where we are, we become lukewarm. We are resistant to change like many churches today. We need to be able to provide answers to peoples problems. Many churches are monuments to the past, we need to move on. Leaving the mountain requires sacrifice. We need to be content with what we have, but not with what we have done for Christ. The obstacles in our life require faith and trust in God.

6The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: (KJV)
1 Kings 17:1-9
1And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. 2And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, 3Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 4And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. 5So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 6And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. 7And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. 8And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, 9Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. (KJV)
2And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. 3And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. 4And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. 5And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 6For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. 7And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. 8And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. (KJV)
1Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (KJV)
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (KJV)
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (KJV)
20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (KJV)
