Worshiping God

Everly's Verse of Worship

Written for a friend, Carol Miles, because she is emotional and cries easily.

Angels Are Crying

The angels in heaven are crying today

‘Cause you didn’t take time out to pray.

You went on your way, with no thought of the Lord

And the angels began crying with one accord.

The angels in heaven are crying today;

You forgot about God as you went on your way.

You didn’t take time the Bible, to read

And you didn’t tell Jesus about your great need

Or thank Him for the blessings you daily receive.

Into the Red Sea (Exodus 13:17-12:18, Exodus 13:21, Exodus 14:13-13:14, Exodus 14:15-16, Exodus 14:31, Exodus 19:1-2)

Pastor Mike Dissmore, June 12, 2016
Part of the Geography Lessons series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Moses was the only one of the Israelites who had been beyond the border of Egypt. The people needed to trust Moses, so they went the long way. Life is a journey with alot of detours, missed opportunities and accidents. When we follow Jesus it is a journey of trust. The long journey was for their protection, to show us we can trust God. The enemy doesn't give up easily -- when trouble comes will we trust God? We need to submit to the process of going thru the wilderness and then changing in order to have our own burning bush moment.
