Worshiping God

Everly's Verse of Worship

Written for a friend, Carol Miles, because she is emotional and cries easily.

Angels Are Crying

The angels in heaven are crying today

‘Cause you didn’t take time out to pray.

You went on your way, with no thought of the Lord

And the angels began crying with one accord.

The angels in heaven are crying today;

You forgot about God as you went on your way.

You didn’t take time the Bible, to read

And you didn’t tell Jesus about your great need

Or thank Him for the blessings you daily receive.

Purpose of the Baptism (Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, 1 Corinthians 14:22, Galatians 5:16, Galatians 5:22, Romans 8:1, Romans 8:11, Acts 19:1-2, Acts 19:6, Acts 2:17)

Pastor Mike Dissmore, April 17, 2016
Part of the You Shall Receive Power series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Purpose of power is to be His witnesses. When people are presuaded by God's power then nothing can sway them. Given overwhelming evidence they can accept or reject Christ. Signs must follow or accompany the gospel. True revival begins with repentence but we must also walk in power of the Holy Spirit. Gifts are not learned or earned but the Holy Spirit gives them as He will. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is developed over time. We are all works in progress. Ask and you shall receive power.
