Everly's Verse of Worship
Written for a friend, Carol Miles, because she is emotional and cries easily.
Angels Are Crying
The angels in heaven are crying today
‘Cause you didn’t take time out to pray.
You went on your way, with no thought of the Lord
And the angels began crying with one accord.
The angels in heaven are crying today;
You forgot about God as you went on your way.
You didn’t take time the Bible, to read
And you didn’t tell Jesus about your great need
Or thank Him for the blessings you daily receive.

Part of the The Seven Last Words of Christ series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
John 19:30 "It is finished." While for most of us these words would stand for surrender and defeat when Jesus spoke these words on the cross it marked the greatest victory in the greatest battle. We were dead. We were alienated from God. We needed this final sacrifice. Jesus had to die in order for us to have eternal life. Jesus had done all that was required of Him at this point. The debt was paid in full. Our sins have been paid for and every prophecy about Him had been fulfilled. We need to die to self and accept Christ.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (KJV)
27And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? 28And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. 29And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. (KJV)
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (KJV)

4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. (KJV)
12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (KJV)
14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. (KJV)
1 Corinthians 15:54-56
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. (KJV)
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (KJV)
8Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: (KJV)
