I answered the call to ministry while I was in Bible Camp at 16 years of age but I wasn’t sure what I was agreeing to since I didn’t think I could ever be a “real” pastor. I even went to Bible College for 3 semesters but majored in music. Eventually I fell in love and got married never telling my wife “By the way, I’ve been called to the ministry.” After about 8 years of marriage and with our 3rd child on the way, God gently began reminding me of our “agreement.” When I could ignore it no longer, I confessed to my surprised wife and then began the process of taking correspondence courses through Global University. I still didn’t know what type of ministry since I still didn’t feel that I had the “right stuff” to be a Senior Pastor but eventually that’s where God led us and that’s where I am today. I’m proof that God uses “the foolish things of the world to confound the wise (1 Cor. 1:27).”
